Message from the Chief of Police
 It is with great pride I join the Pasadena Police Officers' Association (PPOA) in welcoming you to this website. As Chief of Police, it is my honor to lead such an exceptional group of law enforcement professionals. The Pasadena Police Department is a proactive leader in the community, in part because of the integrity, dedication, courage, and professionalism of our officers.
The Pasadena Police Department has a rich history of hiring exceptionally talented police officer candidates who are capable of serving a diverse community. To that end, the Pasadena Police Officers' Association is a valued partner in the effort to attract only the most skilled officers.
Equally important, the Association’s Board of Directors provides strong leadership and continues to promote open communication with the Department. The Board’s willingness to collaborate, dialogue and work together with management to resolve issues, help maintain the “good order of the Department.”
Improving our current partnership necessitates that the Chief of Police and senior command meet frequently with the Board of Directors to resolve concerns and assess emerging labor issues while striving to create meaningful relationships built on respect, trust, and equitable treatment.
It has been my experience that the Pasadena Police Officers’ Association approaches issues prudently, always seeking balanced and reasonable outcomes. Moreover, it is extremely rewarding to engage a group of forward thinking leaders dedicated to fair and impartial representation of its membership. I’m looking forward to working with the PPOA as we continue to deliver professional services to all who live, visit or work in this extraordinary community.
