The Pasadena Police Officers' Association is the recognized bargaining unit for all Police Officers and Corporals hired by the City of Pasadena. We incorporated in 1979 and are classified under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(5), as a non-profit.
Our main purpose is two-fold. One purpose is to negotiate the officers' "Memorandum of Understanding" with the City. Our other purpose is to offer legal defense to member officers.
Our main income is provided by member dues and our Annual Benefit Variety Show held at the Pasadena City College Auditorium. Proceeds from this event provide for our annual charitable contributions, which include many local organizations. Since 1990, we have awarded over $45,000 in scholarship funds a result of our Scholarship Awards Program.
